Overview:
Mid-Sized Metal Recycling Operation seeks an experienced EHS Manager to oversee the safety & environmental Program for multiple sites across the Western USA. The EHS Manager will ensure a safe working environment & meet all environmental regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop & Implement Safety Programs
- Conduct Safety Inspections & Risk Assessments to Mitigate Hazards
- Provide Safety Training to All Employees & Contractors
- Monitor & Ensure Compliance with Local, State & Federal Environmental Regulations
- Prepare & Submit Reports on Safety & Environmental to Regulatory Agencies
- Conduct Audits to Identify Areas for Improvement
- Oversee the Proper Handling, Storage & Disposal of Hazardous & Non-Hazardous Materials
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health or Occupational Health & Safety
- 5+ Years Metals Recycling EHS Management Experience
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) Strongly Preferred
- Knowledgeable in Environmental Regulations & Safety Standards
- Familiarity with Workers’ Compensation Laws & Regulations
- Excellent Communication, Leadership, Organizational & Problem-Solving Skills
